Geygergirls, Performative Talk with Wanda Vrasti, Pondorosa Stolzenhagen

In the Geyger Girls we look at the context and history in which the Berlin party seen emerged, it’s legalization and commoditization, and ask why do more people today choose to party instead of protest? The queer party scene is an important backdrop for our story because it illustrates the contradictions we live with in an exaggerated form. In rave culture we live out liberal freedoms such as chem. sex, drug consumption, and the freedom to stay up all night, which feels radical in some way because we are not going to work or being productive, but neither are we challenging the status quo.
